Search for the Oldest Person with Ds in Ireland
DSC has been contacted by the carer of a lady with Down syndrome who is 69 and lives in Galway.
The enquiry was whether this lady would be the oldest person living with Ds in Ireland. The answer to this question was not one we were able to provide so we said we would ask you, our subscribers and visitors as to whether you are aware of any one older.

Hello, in one of this weeks papers guinness world records states that a 70 year old man holds the record in england for the oldest ds male.
My aunty will be 71, on february 12th 2009.

I know of a lady living in Dungarvan Co. Waterford who turned 72 in December.

I have a cousin with Downs Syndrome and she is 74 since April. Just wondering if she is the oldest in Ireland or other countries .

I work in a care home in England, and care for a man with Downs Syndrome who will turn 75 in a couple of months. This means that he is actually older than the guinness world record man, if the post in feb last year is correct... To be honest, I don't think people will ever really know the true answer to this question, but I think it's fantastic to read about all these people with Downs who are living such long and happy lives!
