Tranistion year students from Loretto Abbey Dalkey undertook their first Ladies Mini Marathon in aid of Down Syndrome Centre this year.
Their teacher, Jane Coyne, developed a training schedule for the 14 girls which involved starting out from the school and running to the nearest DART station in week one. This extended to the next station and the next until finally they were running to Sydney Parade and catching the DART back to school.
