Find a wandering Child at the touch of a button’
The issue of wandering child can be a big worry for parents when taking children to public places. In only takes a few moments of distraction for a child to disappear and the ensuing panic is something that every parent has experienced.
However, when your child is a repeated bolter (!) what remedies are there? We have had quite a few enquiries from people looking to research devices that can offer some peace of mind and while there are many on the market, we were struck by the simplicity of a model made by a UK company called Iseeka.
Iseeka is a child tracking system which enables you to monitor, track and find your missing child up to 400 metres, ideal for use on holiday, family days out, trips to the park, shopping centres or anywhere where a child can wander. The unit comes with a wrist-watch receiver which is placed on the child and the child's movements are monitored by a hand held unit which allows the parent/guardian to control the range at which the child is allowed to move within. Should the child breach the parameters of the set range an alarm is activated on the hand -set which then guides the parent to the child's out-of-range location.
The system has a RRP or £99.99 but anyone wishing to puchase the system (www.iseeka.com) can avail of a special £10 discount which is being offered to supporters of DSC. When you use the code (DSC) to purchase online you will save £10 and receive your product for £89.99 (plus postage and packing). The other good news is that Iseeka will also donate a further £10 to the Down Syndrome Centre.
Here's hoping that this might be a simple and effective way to end those day out disappearances!
