Soccer 32 5-A-Side Tournament - Sat 25th September

On the 25th September, DSC will host its first Soccer 32 5-A-Side Tournament! The event will take place at Astropark in Coolock, with kick off at approximately 1pm.
We are now looking to recruit 32 teams to take part on the day, and the entry fee is €210 for 7 players (€30 per player!)
Tournament Format
ü 8 Groups containing 4 teams per Groupü Each team will play the other Group teams once (4 group games per team)
ü Group games will be 15 minutes in duration.
ü The top two teams from each group will advance to the second round (knockouts) and then a quarter final, semi final and final with teams being eliminated until we have a winner of the 'Champions' section.
ü The bottom two teams from each group will enter the second round (knockouts) of a 'Plate' tournament similar to the above structure this ensures every team gets a minimum of 1 hour of football.
ü There will be a referee on each pitch and goal difference does count in the knockout stages if teams have the same points, in the knockout stages draws in normal time will result in 3 penalties each and then sudden death if still level.
ü Trophies will be awarded for Champion Team Winners, Plate Team Winners and Man of the Tournament.
ü Players should arrive at Astropark, Coolock approximately 1 Hour before kick-off.
