Buy My Dress (BMD) is back and this year’s event is going to be even bigger and better and definitely more fabulous! Due to the success of last year’s event and the amazing support we received from women all over the country, we are thrilled to announce that BMD will be coming to Dublin, Cork and Galway on Thursday 20th May this year! So mark it in your diary ladies because this is one date you definitely don’t want to miss!
We are very excited to welcome Special K on board as this year’s official BMD sponsor and once again Peter Mark will be supporting the campaign by allowing us to use their salons around the country as drop-off points. In 2010 Unislim Ireland will also be opening their classes to the public on specified dates making it easier and easier for you to donate!
For those of you who missed out bagging a bargain in 2009, Buy My Dress is a sale of lightly used (but much-loved) high street and designer dresses which have been donated countrywide by women (including celebrities!) of all shapes and sizes. Whether too big, too small, or just an impulse purchase gone wrong, last year’s event sold close to 1,500 dresses on the day, raising €35,000 for the Down Syndrome Centre. It was such a success our efforts were rewarded with a Fundraising Ireland Award for "Fundraising Campaign of the Year - Small Organisation. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all of you who helped us achieve this prestigious award by donating dresses and supporting us on the day.
