It's this Saturday - 6,000 dresses - can you give one a home?

Here in the office we're surrounded by rails and rails of dresses ahead of this Saturday's Buy My Dress sales. A dress in every colour, every shape and size is there waiting for a new home - maybe even yours?

Doors open this Saturday at the eight Buy My Dress events countrywide from 10 - 6pm. No admission charge this year.  Event locations are as follows:

  • Dublin - Royal College of Physicians, Kildare St, D2 (Same street as Dail Eireann - Nassau St end)
  • Wexford - Corkscrew Restaurant, McDermott St, Gorey
  • Kilkenny - Hotel Kilkenny
  • Cork - Clarion Hotel, Lapps Quay
  • Kerry - Whisper Boutique, Ivy Terrace, Tralee
  • Limerick - Parkway Shopping Centre
  • Galway - G Hotel
  • Mayo - Royal Theatre, Castlebar

Prices begin at €10 and average dress prices on the day will be 40-50 euro.

Pick up a glass of bubbly at even a free manicure at events in Dublin, Cork and Galway.

5,500 dresses have now been donated at the eight locations with still more on the way.

Thanks to the teams of volunteers who are making the events possible - you support is much appreciated.

Join the madness on Saturday at your nearest Buy My Dress!

Congrats on a wonderful event. I popped into the TF in Castlebar and got some bargains!
I have recently set up www.forgottenfrocks.ie a classified ads site for pre loved clothes and accessories. I would like to offer the Downs Syndrome Centre free advertising spaces on my site for any dresses which were not sold last Saturday.
The site works on the basis of images ,descriptions, price, seller email which are sent to the above address. The images are then uploaded by myself onto the forgottenfrocks site.
As I have previously said that all of your dresses will be placed on the site for free.
I do hope that you consider this offer. Take a look at the site before you come to any decision.

Kind Regards
