Another year has flown already which brings us to the end of preschool and toddler life as we know it! The big milestone is arriving in September… Big school!! It’s a whirlwind of emotions for me, terrified of the next challenges, lamenting the change from my baby to a big independent boy and at the same time , such excitement for him to discover this whole new world. A world which will see its own challenges I’m sure, but I’ve no doubt that Elliot can surmount them.

With all his experiences in The Down Syndrome Centre he has been so well prepared and for that I’m truly grateful.

He is such a determined, enthusiastic discoverer and I can’t wait to see him navigate his way through this next chapter, even though I’m sure I’ll be biting my nails along the way!
Elliot is my absolute joy along with his siblings, he can put on an Elvis show like no other, he can surprise me daily and more importantly he can put a smile on any face, and that pretty much is what life is all about!

Elliot continues to be the most joyful soul I know, always in good form and likely to break into a song and dance at any moment. Elliot has focused this year on prepping himself for big school in September. He has been working hard on developing his handwriting skills and strengthening his core and posture when sitting at a desk. Elliot has matured so much over the past year and I have no doubt he will continue to embrace new challenges as they cross his path.
