Cameron McNamara, age 13

“Cameron is in Mel Ryan’s Drama School, he is the first child they have taken with additional needs and as he is so adaptable and sociable it has been great for all involved. He previously attended a Glee school with kids with special needs.” Mum, Susan McNamara

What Cameron’s Mum had to say….

“Cameron had a great visit to RTÉ. The staff were so generous with their time & he got to spend time in front of & behind the camera.”

What RTÉ had to say….

“We were delighted to welcome Cameron to RTÉ and show him around the TV and radio studios. He got an opportunity to visit the set of the Late Late Show, the Sport studio and Brendan O’Connor’s Cutting Edge. Cameron also popped into our weather studio where he proved to be a total natural when it came to being in front of a camera. We visited control rooms, editing rooms and made our way into the Newsroom where we met up with the team behind News2Day. Everybody was really excited to meet Cameron, who immediately got busy and worked on his own TV report with Keelin Shanley and Des Cahill. We can only sum up the morning with: A Star is Born! It was such a pleasure to have Cameron here in RTÉ and we hope that he had as much fun as we did!” Zbyszek Zalinski, RTÉ
