Benefits of SKIP

Children get the opportunity to congregate, to learn from each other and to experience specific developmental intervention geared towards their particular level and needs

SKIP prepares a child with Down syndrome for mainstream Montessori and school at the end of the programme by developing their social and independence skills and their ability to fully participate in class

The programme helps parents and carers to acquire useful skills they can carry over into the home situation and daily life

The children in SKIP attend a class with their peers every week for two or three years and both children and parents make great friendships in the process
