Teletherapy and Home Programme Services

Homepage Covid-19 Supports & Teletherapy Teletherapy Teletherapy and Home Programme Services

As we can’t attend the centre at the moment, we are continuing our individual and group therapy virtually from the comfort of our own homes. During this period, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy intervention is available free of charge via teletherapy.

What is Teletherapy?

Teletherapy is an innovative way for children and their families to continue to access vital services via an online video call. Your teletherapy session may be shorter than your regular therapy in the centre as research shows children best attend to a screen for approximately 30 minutes.

What if Teletherapy doesn’t suit my child?

At the Down Syndrome Centre we embrace the individual needs of every child and their family. We know teletherapy doesn’t work for everyone. You can request for a therapist to call you over the phone and our therapists are highly experienced in coaching parents which is a very effective strategy. In addition your therapist may provide you with an individualised home programme.

How do I make an appointment?

Contact your therapist here or email info@downsyndromecentre.ie for an appointment
