Why your company should volunteer with The Down Syndrome Centre
The Down Syndrome Centre welcomes the opportunity to work with your company to develop volunteering opportunities that fit with your Corporate Social Responsibility activities.
Giving the time, skills and creativity of your team can make a huge difference to us at The Down Syndrome Centre and can provide you with fantastic team building opportunities for your organization.
Thank you to all our volunteers
The fantastic group of volunteers from Celgene painted our meeting room, cleaned all of our toys and donated an iPad to our Occupational Therapy Department
Huge thanks to this fantastic gang from AOL who sorted/modeled through thousands of dresses for our Buy My Dress Event on their Monster Help Day
We had a group of 25 amazing volunteers from the National Treasury Management Agency who split into two groups and transformed the grounds of our new centre and sorted, priced, colour coded and hung a truck load of dresses for Buy My Dress.
Through the AIB Together Initiative we had an extremely hard working group of volunteers in to paint our Teenage Room, our wheelchair accessible toilet and the long corridor outside our therapy rooms.
We had four extremely talented artists in from RR Donnelley to create some very cool artwork in the centre – Emoticons on the stairs, Minions outside our 1st Floor therapy rooms and a super cool Graffiti Wall in our Teenage Room.
A huge thanks to the wonderful team of volunteers from PwC who spent their ‘Day in the Community’ volunteer day with us painting the designs and bringing the arwork to life. And if that wasn’t enough, they also gave us a donation of €1,000.
We had a group of PwC Interns in who did a brilliant job cleaning up our carpark and doing lots of weeding.
The fantastic team from Ulster Bank painted our therapy rooms and meeting room.
For several years we were very lucky to have some amazing teams arrive from Deloitte for their Impact Day to help us sort through thousands of dresses for our Buy My Dress event.
