Fundraise For Us!

Run your own event!

We receive fantastic support from schools across the country and we try to help each school as much as possible to run the best fundraiser possible! We have sponsorship cards, t-shirts, wrist bands and key rings which we’re happy to send to your school’s staff and pupils!

If you’re looking to run your own fundraiser check out a list of fundraiser suggestions here.

Bunny Hop

We are asking children in Crèche’s, Montessori’s and Junior and Senior Infants to join our second Bunny Hop next Easter and get involved in a simple walk, skip or hop around their local area, in their local park or simply around their Pre-School or School yard and donate €2 to support children with Down syndrome. We have lots of fun Easter themed games, activities and downloads and a chance to enter our Bunny Hop Competition. For more information click here

Dress Down for The Down Syndrome Centre

Support The Down Syndrome Centre on World Down Syndrome Day! Participation is easy – students and teachers can make a donation (suggested €2 minimum) and on March 21st and dress down however you would like! Many people choose to wear odd socks, funky gear, or comfy clothes, but the choice is yours. Find out more here

Skip for SKIP

We’re asking Primary and Secondary schools to support our SKIP Programme by hosting a Skipathon during Active School Week (or whenever suits you!). Down syndrome is caused by a duplication of the 21st Chromosome so we’re asking students (and maybe teachers?!) to skip for 21 minutes, either on their own or as part of a team and to collect sponsorship for their efforts.

SKIP (Special Kids Intervention Programme) is a programme which combines Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Social Skills training to prepare children with Down syndrome to thrive in mainstream school.
