It’s Mini Marathon Time!

Grab your girls for this year’s VHI Women’s Mini Marathon!
The deadline to register for this year’s Mini Marathon is May 12th – make sure you register today!
Last year we smashed our Mini Marathon army our previous Mini Marathon fundraising records by having an incredible 181 women run for us and raise a staggering €35,774!! This year we’d love to get 150 women on board and raise €40,000 and we’re confident that it can be done!
Be A Star!
We’re keeping the theme of ‘Be A Star for Our Little Stars’ for this year’s event. We call our inspiring service users our little stars and we have stars in our logo so we feel it’s a good fit! A lot of last year’s participants really got on board with the theme which we absolutely loved!
We’ll have a face painter there on the day to make sure your faces are full of stars and we’d love to see you rocking stars in any way at all – star headbands, stars on your clothes – whatever you’d like!
The day itself
In absolutely fantastic news the team in No. 5 Vinoteca are letting us TAKE OVER their entire beautiful bar for the entire day so you’ll be able to drop off your bags and get your face painted there from 12.30pm.
Then, after your walk/ run/ saunter join us there afterwards where the guys are kindly supplying you guys with food (free of charge!) and you can enjoy their amazing drinks menu!
Our team leaders
We’re thrilled to have Sinead Browne and Nease Ni Argadáin on board as our team leaders for this year’s event! They are mums to Maia and Sadhbh respectively and we can’t wait to share their amazing stories with you!
Sharing is Caring!
Each of your fundraising packs will include a sponsorship card. However we’d also really recommend setting up an online fundraising page. MyCharity.ie has now changed over to Everydayhero. We’d really recommend setting up a fundraising page with them and sharing it with your friends via Facebook, email, twitter etc.
Our team leaders, Neasa and Sinead have shared their beautiful stories with us also – if you haven’t read them yet then click here for Neasa’s piece and here for Sinead’s. They’re powerful, inspiring and wonderful, just like the women who wrote them. Feel free to share them or the attached poster on Facebook/ Twitter etc to get a gang together for the big day! Here’s a video of our team leaders with their little stars!
