What is SKIP?
SKIP (Special Kids Intervention Programme) is a specially designed, early development programme for children with Down syndrome aged between 18 months and 5 years. The programme is holistic in nature and is play based.
A SKIP session targets all areas of each child’s development, such as speech and language, fine motor skills, gross motor skills and has a big emphasis on social skills.
SKIP sessions take place in the Down Syndrome Centre which is based in Shrewsbury House, Cabinteely, Dublin 18.
They take place weekly from Tuesday – Friday and typically last between one and two hours depending on the child’s age.
