What is SKIP?
SKIP is a specially designed, early development programme for children with Down syndrome aged between 18 months and 5 years. The programme is holistic in nature and is play based.
A SKIP session targets all areas of each child’s development, such as speech and language, fine motor skills, gross motor skills and most of all social skills.
SKIP sessions take place in the Down Syndrome Centre which is based in Shrewsbury House, Cabinteely, Dublin 18.
They take place weekly from Tuesday – Friday and typically last between one and two hours depending on the child’s age.
SKIP registrations for the academic year 2018/19 are now open and places are limited so apply early to avoid disappointment.
