We were over the moon when the staff in Permanent TSB selected The Down Syndrome Centre as one of seven Staff Charities for 2017 / 2018 and we were lucky enough to be chosen as one of their top three main charities for the course of two-year partnership.
As well as many fantastic staff led fundraising initiatives, a super group of Permanent TSB employees worked together to get through dozens of hellish obstacles, they waded across rivers, ran through forests and scrambled over walls in the ultimate test of their metal when they participated in Hell & Back in both 2017 and 2018 to raise vital funds for the centre.
Another fantastic fundraising initiative was their Hidden Flavours Cook Book which featured delicious recipes from around the world submitted by Permanent TSB staff members and DSC celebrity supporters including Maia Dunphy, Brendan O’Connor, Simon Coveney TD and our very own CEO, Sharon Dagg.
At the end of May 2018 Permanent TSB held an Interbank Charity Rugby Tournament in Donnybrook Stadium and extended an open invitation to all the families who use the services at DSC – the evening was fantastic family event which also included refreshments and entertainment.
Permanent TSB staff raised an incredible €53,980k for our centre. Their enthusiasm and drive was second to none particularly when they faced the toughest endurance test of them all – Hell & Back. They were fantastic partners and we are so grateful for their support.
